Again, great shots of a very nice find.
I wonder whether they've colonised here recently, as they have at Kenfig? It might be a migrant given the recent southerly winds etc. It'll certainly be worth keeping an eye out for them again next spring.
How many present Alun, or are all your photos of the same individual?

there were around a dozen I went looking for a black darter to get a photo with no luck but found these instead they were all like this

Thanks Alun, that's very interesting. The RVD have a very quick life cycle and so the numbers you describe perhaps suggesting a 2nd generation population following successful breeding earlier this year at Llanilid? It was a very good season at Kenfig earlier this year so no reason why they couldn't have spread from there. It'll be great if you can find some emerging there next year.
As far as I'm aware this would be a first record for Llanilid, but Mike Powell with be better informed about this than me. I'll pass on the details of your record and feed back in due course.
